It's a Small Small World,
and Love and Kindness
can mean so much and make
 Such a Great Difference.

Within these walls, what started
out as a poor Raggedy Ann, turned
in to a Beautiful Cinderella and the Prince.

" Its hard to remember they were all once new in boxes
with pretty dresses but they all end up scalped and
chewed on by dogs and left out in the rain and sun,
mildewed and rusted - this makes them all Cinderella's
coming out of the cinders and being Princesses. "

Vidalia Ann

This Raggedy has been given a new outlook on life
and a new name. Her name is Vidalia Ann. She now
lives with me in Alabama.
Vidalia Ann was once a 15 " Knickerbocker
(1976 Bicentennial Style)
Vidalia spent many years in the south so her
Nanny thought she would love go return to the deep deep south. She loved nothing better than a cotillion or a ball. "She sleeps in her dancing shoes". When she came to the shelter, she was nude and missing some hair, but she had such a warm personality everyone took an immediate liking to her.
While at Nannies shelter she participated in the Glee Club, tapestry, weaving and taught ball room dancing to
the clumsiest of Andys.

Katarina

This Raggedy Ann now goes by the name of Katarina. Katarina is one of Vidalia's sisters. She went to live
with Tracy in Frankfort, Kentucky. Katarina got there
just in time to be part of the wedding of Tracy and
Keller. What a beautiful Raggedy Ann she is.

Handy Andy
.........

"Raggedy Handy Andy, master carpenter and resident
of the shelter left  out today in the rain with his tools on
his back for Arcola." He is going to help Tom and Joni
get everything ready for the opening of the Raggedy Ann
and Andy Museum. It is promised that if he forgot
any of his tools- they will be sent to him.
Handy Andy sent these pictures home to his Nanny
before he went to work in Arcola , Ill.

This is the old train depot. Now a member of the Chamber of  Commerce is here to greet the visitors.

All the streets of Arcola are paved with brick.
For a Raggedy- they are paved with gold.
as this is their real home.

This is an Amish operated general store.

The Taller building will be the new
Raggedy Ann and Andy Museum.

A marker in the Depot yard for Johnny Gruelle.

Suchitra Khanna

Suchitra Khanna came to be as she had a very
important job to do. She was dressed just in time
to catch a plane to India. She left with Dr. Patel
who went to India to attend to his Mother who
was ill. We will share in a prayer to Ganisha
that his Mother will recover and Raggedy Ann
will spend many happy days in India.

ITS A SMALL SMALL WORLD

It's a Small World  after All
It's a Small World

Its a world of Laughter
A world of Tears
It's a world of Hopes
And a world of Fears
There's so much that we Share
That it's time we're Aware
It's a Small World after All

It's a Small World after All
It's a Small World after All
It's a Small World after All
It's a Small, Small World

There is just One Moon
And One Golden Sun
And a Smile means Friendship to Everyone
Though the Mountains Divide
And the Oceans are Wide
It's a Small World after All

Its a World of Laughter
A World of Tears
It's a World of Hopes
And a World of Fears
There's so Much that we Share
That's it's Time we're Aware
It's a Small World after All

It's a Small World after All
It's a Small World after All
It's a Small World after All
It's a Small, Small World

There is just One Moon
And One Golden Sun
And a Smile means Friendship to Everyone
Though the Mountains Divide
And the Oceans are Wide
It's a Small World after All
